Celebrate Groundhog Day with these 7 moments from the classic Bill Murray movie

Happy Groundhog Day, everybody!

Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow on Thursday, meaning we're going to have six more weeks of winter.

Thankfully, Phil's weather predictions are wrong most of the time, but the holiday does give us an excuse to revisit the classic Bill Murray movie of the same name, which is available to rent or stream across a variety of platforms.

In honor of Phil, we rounded up our seven favorite moments from the movie, because we are celebrating the only right way – by watching it over and over and over again. Or at least these seven moments.

Also, he finally steps over the icy puddle!

6. Phil drives off with the groundhog

Aw, Phil, it's not Punxsutawney Phil's fault! He's just doing his job!

5. All the slaps

Phil learns his lesson. Over and over and over again.

4. Phil gets all the answers on 'Jeopardy!'

Come on, if you were stuck in a time loop, you know you'd do this.

3. Phil plays 'Boogie Woogie'

Bill Murray playing "Boogie Woogie" on the piano in some sweet shades? We would watch a movie that was just that! (Sidenote: The closest we'll ever get to that is "A Very Murray Christmas," which is basically a Murray fever dream and we love it.)

2. When Phil tries to save the homeless man

It's not exactly the happiest of moments in the movie (which is a lot more of a downer than you might remember), but it's still important when Phil tries to save the life of a dying homeless man he'd previously walked right by.

1. 'Do you know what today is? Today is tomorrow.'

Don't tell us you don't get a little teary during this moment. It was always going to be hard to end a movie that basically just repeats itself a bunch of times, but when Rita's arm is the one that hits that snooze button, it was perfect. And Phil's hell was finally over.
