Coshocton Library events for July

COSHOCTON — The Coshocton County Public Library has released activities and programs for July at the main library and branch in West Lafayette. They include:

  • Artwork by Cohen Miller will be featuring throughout the month at the branch library.

  • "Mary Church Terrell: An Original Oberlin Activist," a traveling exhibition from Oberlin College Libraries, will be on display throughout the month at the main library.

  • The Books Galore Bookstore will be open from 3 to 6 p.m. Mondays and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday and Saturdays at the main library.

  • Lapsit for caregivers with babies and toddlers is from 10 to 10:30 a.m. July 5 and 19 at the branch library and July 6 and 20 at the main library.

  • Preschool story time for those ages 3 to 5 is from 11 to 11:30 a.m. July 5 and 19 at the branch library and July 6 to 20 at the main library.

  • Let's Talk About It: Women's Suffrage book discussion club meets from 6 to 7:30 p.m. July at the main library to discuss "Vanguard" by Martha S. Jones.

  • Plugged and Unplugged for those in seventh to twelfth grades with video games, laptops and snacks is 2:30 to 5 p.m. on Wednesdays at the main library.

  • Story time at Burt Park in West Lafayette is from 6:30 to 7 p.m. July 7. Bring blanks and lawn chairs.

  • Gathering of Gamers is 1 to 3:30 p.m. July 9 for adults to play video games, board games, card games and more.

  • Public technology education sessions for help with devices, apps and software programs are by appointment from 10 a.m. to noon on Mondays.

  • Explore a World of Possibilities for senior citizens is from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. July 12. Keepsake passports will be stamped for each program.

  • Oceans of Activities for ages 3 to 12 tied in the summer reading program is from 11 a.m. to noon July 12 and 26 at the branch library and July 13 and 27 at the main library.

  • Coffee Chat for Readers on new and best selling fiction is from 9 to 10 a.m. July 13 at the branch library.

  • Friends of the Library will meet from noon to 1 p.m. July 13 at the main library.

  • Trivia Night with books and board games for adults is from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. July 13 at the main library.

  • Suffragist hike walking group will do a mile of light walking throughout from 10:30 to 11 a.m. July 14 in Coshocton and 5 to 5:30 p.m. July 28 in West Lafayette.

  • Book club for tweens from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. July 14 at the main library for those in third to sixth grades will discus "Fins" by Randy Wayne White.

  • Akron ZooMobile will have a presentation for families from 2 to 3 p.m. July 16 at the West Lafayette First Baptist Church, 688 E. Main St.

  • STEAM for Tweens is from 11 a.m. to noon July 18 for those in third to sixth grade with a variety of hands-on activities at the main library.

  • Your Blood's Journey presentation by the American Red Cross on the blood donation process is from 6 to 7 p.m. July 18 at the main library.

  • Animanga club for adults to discuss anime and manga works will be from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. July 18 at the main library.

  • Bookmarked book club for adults will be from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. July 19 at the main library and via Zoom. Discussed will be "Between the World and Me" by Ta-Nehisi Coates.

  • Tween and Teen Time at the Branch will be from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. July 21 at the branch library with games, art and snacks.

  • Story time at Clary Gardens will be from 6:30 to 7 p.m. July 21.

  • A presentation on the Women's Christian Temperance Union is from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. July 25 at the main library.
