Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Coronation Street's Sam Blakeman concerns his loved ones over the coming days, as he stops talking following the tragic death of his mum Natasha.

Sam (Jude Riordan) was left devastated this week as Natasha passed away in hospital after being shot by Harvey Gaskell.

In the fallout, Sam insisted on seeing his mum one last time at the local undertakers.

His father Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) agreed to the request, but regretted it afterwards when the schoolboy was clearly traumatised by the experience.

In Friday's hour-long episode, Nick and his partner Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) continue to worry about Sam.

The trio are currently staying at a hotel together as it's too difficult to return to the flat, where Natasha was shot.

Sam shuts himself away in his room and refuses to say a word, leaving Nick feeling helpless over what to do.

Next week, the situation still hasn't improved and Nick confides in Leanne at the Bistro.

Nick stresses how worried he is about Sam, who still hasn't said anything. Will they consider sending him for counselling?

Rachel Leskovac, who played Natasha, recently opened up over how she found filming her emotional final scenes.

She said: "I'd done a bit of filming with Ben Price before Jude came onto set and I was already feeling quite emotional. But because it was my last scene filming with him, from the moment I saw Jude, I just started crying and I didn't stop till they said cut.

"It was really emotional, to the point I couldn't look at him in between takes because I just found it too difficult. It was pretty much non-stop crying.

"I'm a very emotional person – or some might say a right softie! The bond I have with Jude is very strong and I hope that's come across on screen."

Coronation Street airs tonight at 7.30pm on ITV.
