'Coronation Street' star Sally Dynevor couldn't watch Sinead Tinker death scenes after own cancer battle
Coronation Street viewers saw Sinead Tinker, played by Katie McGlynn, lose her life to cervical cancer on the soap last week in tragic scenes but one person who didn't watch the character's death was Sally Metcalfe actress Sally Dynevor.
She's said she "can't" watch it following on from her own real life cancer battle after being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2009.
"I just can't watch it," the actress told The Mirror. "I think they're doing a brilliant job, so brilliant it makes me not want to watch it.

"Only because it's self-preservation. I don't need to keep going there."
Dynevor, 56, discovered she had breast cancer in real life while filming a storyline about her character finding out she had the same disease.
The story prompted the mother-of-three to visit a nurse at ITV to get checked out where a lump was found in her breast.
Speaking about the moment she learnt she had cancer, Dynevor said: “I fainted when I was diagnosed. I woke up on a bed, looked at the doctor and said, ‘I’m so sorry, you’ve got me mixed up with my character.
“That’s my character. And he went, ‘I’m so sorry, it’s you. You’ve got breast cancer.’"
She subsequently took a six month break from the soap and received successful chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatment.
Another Coronation Street star who has recently spoken out about their health is Charlie Lawson following on from his stroke last year.
The Jim McDonald actor believes he's "very lucky to be alive" after experiencing a stroke while on stage for a performance of the play Rebus: Long Shadows in October 2018.
