How are the Commanders offensive numbers?

It’s been a fun last seven weeks as the Commanders have won six of their last seven games and five of the six games started by Taylor Heinicke.

I decided to look at some more of the offensive numbers and see what I learned about how the Commanders are performing offensively (through 12 games) in relation to the other 31 teams in the NFL.

OFFENSE

Points scored:  22nd with 233

Yards Gained: 15th with 3,899

Yards per play: 28th with 4.9

Turnovers lost: 16th with 14

First Downs: 8th with 240

Passing Yards: 19th with 2,446

Passing Touchdowns: 13th with 19

Passing Interceptions: 29th with 11

Passing Yards per attempt: 26th with 5.6

Passing First Downs: 18th with 128

Rushing Yards:10th with 1,453

Rushing Touchdowns: 26th with 7

Rushing Yards per carry: 28th with 4.0

Rushing First Downs: 8th with 88

Percentage of Drives ending in offensive score: 27th with 30.7%

Percentage of Drives ending in offensive turnovers: 17th with 10.2%

Passing Completion Percentage: 28th with 61.5%

Passer Rating: 27th with 83.5

Times Quarterback Sacked: 24th with 32.

Points Scored per game: 24th with 19.4

Average Number of Plays per offensive drive: 19th with 6.0

Net Yards gained per drive: 24th with 28.4

Average time per drive: 16th with 2:52

Average points scored per drive: 25th with 1.62

What’s my point? Actually, I don’t really have one. I wanted to look up many offensive numbers and see what I might learn how the offense is actually performing. The numbers speak for themselves.
