Quote from Zelenskyy: "A few hours ago, I held a regular meeting of the Staff. There were several new participants, including Ihor Klymenko, Acting Minister of Internal Affairs and Chief of the National Police of Ukraine. He is overseeing all aspects of Ukraine’s defence and security that are under the remit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The heads of several oblast military administrations, including Volyn, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia and Odesa, also took part in today’s Staff meeting to report on the implementation of the national resistance legislation."

Details: Zelenskyy explained that "every element" of Ukraine’s defence, including its territorial defence, has to be "properly organised".

Valerii Zaluzhnyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander of the Khortytsia Operational Strategic Group of Troops, reported during the Staff meeting. President Zelenskyy said that the area where the Khortytsia group is deployed is "the hottest" part of the front.

Quote from Zelenskyy: "We are taking appropriate steps to strengthen our units in the battle for Donbas.

Today, I would like to celebrate the successes of the border guards from the Luhansk and Kramatorsk detachments, who are fighting on the Donetsk front and defending Bakhmut alongside soldiers from Ukraine’s defence and security forces. Thank you for your resilience and your ability to direct your attacks on the occupation forces in such a way that makes their own attacks impossible!

I would also like to thank the warriors of the Dozor (Watch) Special Unit of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine for successfully deterring enemy forces!"
