A comedian has gone viral for a skit in which she impersonates a Trump supporter stranded at the presidentâs rally in Omaha, Nebraska.
The event on Tuesday drew thousands, many of whom were left stranded miles from their parked cars in near-freezing temperatures, waiting for buses to take them back to their vehicles.
Blaire Erskine, a comedian based in Atlanta, Georgia, who often shares video sketches on social media, offered her take on the situation in a new clip on Wednesday.
In the skit, she acts as a stranded Trump supporter being interviewed on television about the situation.
âIâm having a great time,â Erskineâs character says. âI canât feel my body but I donât really need my body. This is about Trumpâs body.â

She later adds of Trump: âI think he did this to teach us a lesson. I really do. What? What was that lesson? Um, well thatâs not really for me to know and thatâs actually pretty nasty of you to ask.â
âYes Iâve seen some elderly people passed out and unresponsive, but to be honest the only reason there are so many of those people is because the media keep counting them,â she adds. âSo if you people like you guys werenât counting the old people that were on the ground, there wouldnât be as many.â
Erskineâs video has been watched 3.3m times on Twitter.
At least seven people were taken to hospitals after Tuesdayâs rally. Omaha police told The Associated Press in a written statement that first responders dealt with 30 people for medical reasons throughout the day.
Joe Biden on Wednesday used the image of Omaha supporters left in the cold after the rally to criticize Trump's handling of the coronavirus pandemic.
âIt's an image that captured President Trump's whole approach to this crisis,â Biden, Trumpâs Democratic opponent in the 2020 presidential race, said.
