Come out to support Kitsap’s jazz talent

Eugenie Jones is a Kitsap County-based award-winning American jazz singer/songwriter. Many locals know her for her long-running fitness and wellness column, her non-profit executive marketing roles, or for her volunteer work as the founding board president of the Music Discovery Center. Residents are increasingly becoming aware of the local making a name for herself as an internationally ranked American jazz singer/songwriter.

Jones released her first CD in 2013. As a debut release, DownBeat Magazine awarded Black Lace Blue Tears 3.5 out of 4 stars. It’s also the first vocal release to be awarded Earshot Jazz’s Recording of the Year Award. Come Out Swingin in 2015 allowed the artist to be awarded Earshot Jazz’s Vocalist of the Year Award, but her highest accomplishments are attributed to Jones current release, Players.

Putting her marketing MBA to work, Jones devised a unique strategy for Players by recording in each region of the United States with a different set of master artists in each city – Seattle, Chicago, Dallas & New York. Her hard work paid off with the CD internationally ranking #30 on Jazz Week's Top 100 releases for 2022. At the time of its release, it reached #7 on the charts and was also a contender for the 2022 Grammys.

Collective Visions Gallery in conjunction with The CVG Show is presenting Jones & her band in concert at the Historic Roxy Theatre on February 11. You can learn more about this tremendous Kitsap County talent and her performances at www.eugeniejones.com.
