The Indianapolis Colts visit the Houston Texans in NFL Week 13 action with the AFC playoff race still far from settled.
The Colts (6-6) have led by double digits in each of their past 9 games. They've won 6 of those games. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers scored in the last minute last weekend to defeat the Colts.
The Texans (2-9) have one bright spot this season — a win at the Tennessee Titans two weeks ago. Otherwise, life has been tough for them. They lost to the New York Jets last weekend.
A lot of eyes will be on Colts running back Jonathan Taylor, and here's why: When he rushes for at least 100 yards, the Colts win; they're 0-6 when he falls short of that mark. Another key number: 35. The Colts have won just once when they have attempted at least 35 passes.
Colts center Ryan Kelly is on the COVID-19 list and will not play.
People to follow throughout the season: Nate Atkins, Joel A. Erickson and Gregg Doyel. Please refresh this file for updates throughout the game.
Plenty of seats available: Colts show up to play the Texans in Houston, but not many fans did
Instant impact: Colts safety Kenny Moore has a terrific first quarter vs. Texans
4 p.m. — Colts beat Texans 31-0
The Indianapolis Colts keep their AFC playoff hopes strong heading into their bye week.
Jonathan Taylor rushes for 143 yards and 2 touchdowns as the Colts total 239 yards on the ground. Taylor has 30 touchdowns in his second season.
Michael Pittman Jr. has 6 catches for 77 yards and rushes for 33. Carson Wentz passes for 158 yards and a TD to Ashton Dulin.
Indy's defense is smothering. Houston doesn't cross midfield until the final minute of the third quarter. The Colts are 31-9 against the Texans (2-10), the most lopsided rivalry in the NFL.
The Colts (7-6) get a week off before games against the New England Patriots on Dec. 18 and the Arizona Cardinals on Christmas night.

That looks like a really good challenge.
I think Kenny Moore has his fourth interception of the season.
And it happened on a bootleg!— Joel A. Erickson (@JoelAErickson) December 5, 2021
Danny Pinter is playing center for the Colts
Catching passes?!: Danny Pinter has a touchdown reception this year
File this under "as expected," but Carson Wentz is taking snaps from Danny Pinter here in warmups.
The biggest question, in my opinion, is how Indy replaces Pinter's receiving presence in the red zone with him playing center this week.— Joel A. Erickson (@JoelAErickson) December 5, 2021
