Andrew Davino Baseball Training, Blitz Baseball and Bartow Youth League are teaming up for a toy drive and baseball clinic on Saturday. Toys from the drive will be donated to Heartland for Children and The Mission of Winter Haven.
Instructors include Lakeland High School coach Andrew Davino along with Pedro Beato, Benny Castillo, Ronnie Richardson, Jose Fuentes, Endrys Briceno, JJ Gonzalez, Dayan Reinoso, and Livan Reinoso. These instructors have either played or coached at the college or professional level.
The camp aims to be instructional and fun for children ages 5 to 15. There will be concessions, prize drawings and Christmas music by Dawn Farmer. Bartow Fire Department will be in attendance with a fire truck and an elf will help with toys and passing out candy canes.
The event takes place from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Bartow Dixie Youth Baseball Fields, 2025 S. Floral Ave. in Bartow. Youth participating in the clinic are asked to bring a new unwrapped gift for registration. To register, contact Melissa Browne at firstname.lastname@example.org or 863-604-7501.
