Initially opened in 2020, The Cloak and Wand is a fantasy store dedicated to the wizards and witches of folklore, myth, and literature. In addition to cloaks, wands, brooms, books, enchanted plants, and magical items and apparel, the shop includes a potion bar at which guests can order specially brewed custom potions, according to a news release.

The potions bar provides guests the opportunity to be a potions master, customizing a cold or hot beverage from a selection of 64 flavors—from Strawberry and Cotton Candy to Maple Syrup Pancakes and Butter Rum—and add-ons, like whipped cream, glittering fairy dust and energy boosts.

“We have so many different options for people to get creative and make their own brew of whatever flavors they’d like to try, and we also offer premade favorites on our menu as well,” said Shannon Rogers, an inventory manager at the Connecticut location.

The Cloak and Wand is designed to create an immersive, interactive experience for its shoppers, explained Rogers, with features like its wall of moving portraits and a room specifically dedicated to hand carved wands from Orchard Works, a small family-owned business in Stafford Springs, Conn.

“You open the door and you’re completely transported to a mythical, magical place, leaving behind your real-world problems at the door. It’s so immersive and interactive you just come in and forget about all of it,” said Rogers.

She said construction in Peddler's Village started in May and The Cloak and Wand.

“We’re so excited to have found a location as special as Peddler’s Village,” said Rogers. “We’re beyond excited and we’re ready to have everybody come enjoy.”

A third-generation family-owned winery, Nissley Vineyards has been growing grapes and producing wine in Lancaster County since 1978. Nissley Vineyards offers a full portfolio of wines, ranging from sweet blends to premium barrel-aged varietals, according to the release.

The new Peddler’s Village location will mark Nissley Vineyards' first presence in Bucks County.

“We couldn’t be happier about the addition of these two inventive and forward-thinking businesses to our lineup of specialty shops in Peddler’s Village,” said Bob McGowan, chief operating officer. “Both The Cloak and Wand and Nissley Vineyards have impressive track records in other locations of drawing first-time visitors. They’re also very adept in providing a high level of customer service and cultivating longtime relationships, which is a very important part of the Peddler’s Village ethos.”
