Jun. 14—Bill Marinella pays attention to the details.

For more than 20 years, he's been in the film industry — mostly as a casting director.

The film industry veteran moved from Atlanta to Albuquerque as the film industry is picking up.

Marinella is hitting the ground running as he is holding an open call for the upcoming Fox series, "The Cleaning Lady."

The pilot for the series was filmed in New Mexico and the series got picked up by Fox for its first season in early May.

"The Cleaning Lady" stars Elodie Yung, who is known for her role in the series, "Daredevil" and "The Defenders."

Yung stars as Thony, a whip-smart doctor who comes to the U.S. for a medical treatment to save her ailing son. But when the system fails and pushes her into hiding, she refuses to be beaten down and marginalized. Instead, she becomes a cleaning lady for the mob and starts playing the game by her own rules.

The series is set in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The casting call will take place from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, June 19, at Glorybound, 11913 Menaul NE.

Marinella is looking to cast the following:

—Casino players (upscale clothing).

—Casino staff (with real experience).

—Vegas pedestrians (to play tourists, locals, business travelers).

—Kids, (six months to 17 years old).

—Twins.

According to Marinella, the series will begin filming in mid-August and COVID testing will take place in late July.

"I'm trying to get real people with real skills," he says. "I want people who have worked at casinos to take part in this. I want real dealers to be able to be on camera as one. It's an opportunity for people to branch out."

Marinella would also like to see people show up in their best vintage outfit — from any modern era.

"I like to see people dressed up because I can see what it would take to get them into character," he says. "I take the words from the page and help fill the scene in with an amazing background cast."
