Class B and A boys basketball region pairings set

Feb. 27—The Class B and A girls region pairings were released Saturday, with action starting on Monday.

In Region 3B, No. 2 seed Wessington Springs will receives a first-round bye and will host No. 7 Estelline/Hendricks or No. 10 James Valley Christian at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

In Region 4B, Sanborn Central/Woonsocket hosts Mitchell Christian at 7 p.m. Monday, with the winner playing at No. 1 Howard on Tuesday. No. 4 Elkton-Lake Benton hosts No. 5 Ethan at 7 p.m. Tuesday. No. 2 Hanson hosts No. 7 Oldham-Ramona/Rutland or No. 10 Colman-Egan on Tuesday.

In Region 5B, No. 8 Menno plays No. 9 Centerville on Monday and the winner plays at No. 1 Canistota on Tuesday. No. 4 Bridgewater-Emery hosts No. 5 Alcester-Hudson at 7 p.m. Monday. No. 10 Scotland plays at No. 7 Irene-Wakonda, with the winner playing at No. 2 Viborg-Hurley on Tuesday. No. 11 Freeman plays at No. 6 Gayville-Volin and the winner plays at No. 3 Freeman Academy/Marion on Tuesday.

In Region 6B, No. 8 Andes Central/Dakota Christian hosts No. 9 Bon Homme on Monday and the winner plays at No. 1 Platte-Geddes on Tuesday. No. 4 Gregory hosts No. 5 Tripp-Delmont/Armour on Tuesday. No. 7 Kimball/White Lake hosts No. 10 Colome on Monday in White Lake, with the winner playing at No. 2 Corsica-Stickney on Tuesday. No. 6 Marty hosts No. 11 Avon on Monday and the winner plays at Burke on Tuesday.

In Region 7B, No. 2 Lyman hosts No. 7 Philip on Tuesday.

In Region 5A, No. 4 Parkston plays No. 5 McCook Central/Montrose and the winner plays No. 1 Madison. No. 6 McCook Central/Montrose plays No. 3 Parker and the winner plays No. 2 Wagner.

In Region 6A, No. 1 Chamberlain plays No. 4 Miller. In Region 7A/8A, No. 2 Winner hosts No. 7 Hot Springs or No. 10 Lead-Deadwood on Friday.
