City's utilities payment system offline Thursday

The Wichita Falls Utility Collections Department payment system is offline as of Thursday late afternoon related to a security software update.

The department was partially functional for part of the day before an announcement that all payment services were unavailable.

The system was expected to be closed just Monday and Tuesday for the update, but issues led to closure and partial closure Wednesday and Thursday as well.
