Cincinnati Weather: Severe storms, small hail and gusty winds possible Wednesday night

Update 10:22 p.m.: Storms will continue to move through the area Wednesday evening. Small hail and gusty winds are expected in the strongest storms. According to the National Weather Service, the severe risk is low, but not zero.

Update 5:10 p.m.: Storms continue to migrate north through the Tri-State and are mainly sub-severe, according to the National Weather Service.

Parts of Greater Cincinnati could see severe storms Wednesday night, according to the National Weather Service.

Forecasters said a severe thunderstorm was located over Burlington, moving north at 40 mph.

Wind gusts of 60 mph and half dollar size hail are possible. Strong winds could damage trees and power lines.

Locations impacted include Cincinnati, Florence, Forest Park, Harrison, North College Hill, Cheviot, Villa Hills, Mount Healthy, Lawrenceburg, Greendale, Rising Sun, Bright, Hidden Valley, Oakbrook, Burlington, Union, Cleves, Shawnee, Taylor Creek, and Bridgetown.

Residents are warned in case of lightning to move indoors immediately.

Torrential rainfall might occur with this storm and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
