CIAC to honor 2022 senior scholar-athlete recipients on Sunday

May 21—The CIAC will honor 350 during its 39th annual CAS-CIAC Scholar-Athlete Awards banquet on Sunday at the Aqua Turf in Southington.

The Scholar-Athlete program annually recognizes two high school seniors from each member high school "whose academic and athletic careers have been exemplary, whose personal standards and achievements are a model to others, and who possess high levels of integrity, self-discipline and courage."

Morgan Tuck, former UConn great and currently the director of franchise development for the WNBA's Connecticut Sun, will be the keynote speaker while Derby High School cheerleader Bridget Wright will receive the 2022 Michael H. Savage Spirit of Sport Award.
