Yahoo News 'ChuckleVision' named greatest CBBC show ever in new poll
Paul Chuckle has told of his delight after his show ChuckleVision beat a host of other much-loved programmes to be named the greatest CBBC series of all time.
The slapstick children’s show - which starred Paul and his late brother Barry Chuckle and ran from 1987 and 2009 - fended off stiff competition from the likes of The Story Of Tracy Beaker and Dick And Dom In Da Bungalow to take the top spot in the RadioTimes.com poll.
The triumph came just days after CBBC declared ChuckleVision was “mid tier” in its own ranking of children’s series, below “top tier” and “legend tier”.

Paul told RadioTimes.com: “I am thrilled that an injustice has been corrected and I would like to thank everyone over all platforms of social media who got involved.
“In the words of me and Barry (changed a little) ‘From Me – To You’.

The Chuckle Brothers were a children’s TV staple during the 1980s and 1990s, with ChuckleVision proving to be a favourite among kids back in the day.
It ran for a whopping 21 series between 1987 and 2009.
During this time the brothers starred in nearly 300 episodes, which saw them getting into all sorts of precarious misadventures.
Barry passed away in August 2018, at the age of 73.
The siblings’ older brother Jimmy Patton later said that Barry had been suffering from bone cancer which had spread to his lungs, but said that he had kept news of the disease private.
Other shows that made the top 10 in the RadioTimes.com poll included Horrible Histories, The Sarah Jane Adventures, Blue Peter, Byker Grove, Grange Hill, Maid Marian And Her Merry Men and The Demon Headmaster.
