Christy Turlington's nephew is following in her famous footsteps. The 50-year-old supermodel revealed on Instagram that James Turlington Carter is pursuing a career in front of the camera.
"When your nephew visits you on the set and steals the show!" she captioned a professional black and white photo of James.
The resemblance is uncanny — right down to a mole on his cheek.
The 25-year-old signed with IMG Models, which also represents Gisele Bündchen, Cara Delevingne and Bella and Gigi Hadid. James shared the same photo on social media, writing how he is "beyond grateful for the opportunity." He also thanked his aunt for "showing me the way."
Judging from his Instagram handle, the aspiring model is just going by “James Turlington” in his new profession. Formerly, he was a relief pitcher with the Los Angeles Dodgers, but announced his departure from baseball last week. "I’ll never forget the experiences, life lessons and friendships that came with playing the greatest game," he shared on Instagram. "But as one chapter ends, another begins. Excited to start this new chapter and continue to grow and evolve as a person."
Days later, Turlington shared photos from that “new chapter.”
We have a feeling this new gig might work out for him.
