SAN ANGELO — The holidays are here, and San Angelo is ready to bring the spirit to all with markets, Santa and more. Here's a look at all the holiday events in the area for November-December.
Tour of Lights
When: Dec. 4-Dec. 31. Hours are 6-10 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 6 p.m.-midnight Friday-Saturday. There will be a "soft opening" on Dec. 3 from 6 p.m.-midnight.
Where: Cars enter at South Bryant Blvd. and 1st Street and follow the 2.5-mile path of lights along the Concho River.
Cost: $5 donation per car is recommended.
Other: With over 3 million lights, there are animated scenes including the 12 Days of Christmas, a gingerbread house, an elaborate Nativity scene and Santa Claus. People can also enjoy Christmas cartoons at the end of the tour by parking at the Oakes Street screen and tuning in to 103.9 FM.

More holiday events
Ornament Painting Party is 4-9 p.m. at New Journey San Angelo. This event allows foster and adoptive parents, youth, and kids to create a customized ornament, which will be auctioned to raise funds for New Journey and The Dorm. Supplies, snacks and drinks will be provided. There will be holiday movies.
Southland Baptist Church Jazz Band will perform from 6-7:15 p.m. at the Farmer's Market Pavilion. This is part of the Concho Christmas Celebration's Concerts at the Farmer's Market Pavilion series.
Grinch-mas at The Marble Slab, 4553 Sherwood Way, is set for 7-9 p.m. The Grinch will give away free kids' ice creams and cakes will be half-off. He will also be available for photos.
Lighted Evening at the Chicken Farm Art Center is set for 6-9 p.m. There will be Christmas lights, gifts, Santa and prizes.
Last Minute Shoppers Pop Up is from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Dec. 23 at De Nada, 3038 W. Beauregard Ave. Small businesses will be set up for holiday shopping.
