Christian counselor to speak at Autumn Ridge

Dec. 7—Dan Farm, a Christian counselor, will speak at Autumn Ridge Church on Friday.

Farm, who holds a doctorate of ministry, will discuss "Stay on Mission" and his own life at 6:30 p.m. at the church at 3611 Salem Road SW. The lecture is part of the Celebrate Recovery program at Autumn Ridge Church, and will focus on finding and following purpose in one's life.

Farm is a pastoral counselor and marriage coach with Renewal Counseling and Coaching in Rochester. His practice is faith-based.

Farm does not hold a degree in psychology or psychotherapy.

Celebrate Recovery is a Christian, 12-step recovery program for adults struggling with addiction, family issues or other problems impacting their mental health.

It meets every Friday evening at Autumn Ridge, beginning with a large group meeting with testimonies and worship at 6:30, continuing with men's and women's open share meetings at 7:30, and ending with coffee and socializing at 8:30. Children ages 2-8 can attend Celebration Place, a youth ministry, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. when space is available.
