Chrissy Teigen says people upset over updated 'Baby, It's Cold Outside' should 'get over it'

If you’re one of the many people upset by the updated version of the Christmas classic “Baby, It’s Cold Outside,” Chrissy Teigen has a message for you: “Get over it.”

Teigen made the comment during a visit to The Kelly Clarkson Show.

Clarkson sings on the track with Teigen’s husband, John Legend, and the updated, pro-consent lyrics have gotten a somewhat icy reception.

Critics of the original version — famously sung by Dean Martin and numerous other artists — have called some of the lyrics “sexist” and in the wake of the #MeToo movement, some radio stations have pulled it from holiday playlists.

Clarkson and Legend updated the song in response to the backlash, but some are also taking issue with their version, too.

Martin’s daughter, Deana, told Good Morning Britain that the changes are “absolutely absurd.”

“Apparently we killed Christmas!” joked Clarkson. “Honestly, the original doesn’t even offend me. I just was like, ‘Cool we’ll do another version,’” she added.

“Oh my God, get over it,” said Teigen. “If I can’t have my creepy song it’s not Christmas!” she joked.

Viewers on Twitter were split, with some saying they like the updated version:

But others said they weren’t into the new version at all:
