Chick-fil-A to open in Southfield

Chick-fil-A announced its newest location in Southfield on Thursday. The new Southfield location at 28588 Telegraph Road is part of a trio of stores announced earlier this summer and are set for fall openings.

Other locations soon to open are in Livonia and Monroe.

There are 10 other Chick-fil-A locations in metro Detroit.

For Southfield fans of Chick-fil-A, the wait is over.

The Southfield location will be open for dine-in, drive-thru, carryout, or pickup from 6:30 a.m.- 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday. You can order online or via the Chick-fil-A app. In honor of fall, Chick-fil-A is marking the debut of its Autumn Spice Milkshake and the return of Grilled Spicy Deluxe Sandwich. These two items will be on the Southfield menu through Nov. 12 while supplies last.

Matthew Leverett is the Southfield franchise owner/operator, according to a news release. The Southfield location will have about 145 full- and part-time employees.

As part of the opening, Chick-fil-A will recognize "100 local heroes" making an impact in the community with free Chick-fil-A meals for a year.

In honor of the opening, Chick-fil-A will donate $25,000 to Feeding America which will benefit hunger relief efforts in metro Detroit.

In addition, the Southfield location will also participate in Chick-fil-A's "Share Table Program," where surplus food from the restaurant will go to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks, and nonprofits, according to a news release.

The Atlanta-based fast food chain is known for its pickle-brined fried chicken sandwiches and being closed on Sundays. Chick-fil-A has more than 2,700 restaurants in 48 states, Washington D.C. and Canada.

Chick-fil-A ranks as one of the more popular fast food chains with consumers. For the eighth year in a row, the chain remained in the top spot for fast on the American Customers Satisfaction Index’s (ACSI) 2022 report.
