Cheetos is hosting a fashion show during NYFW at the 'House of Flamin' Haute' (Exclusive)

Twice a year, major fashion houses and new designers alike present their upcoming collections at New York Fashion Week, and this September will be no different. There will be one new show, however, that's bound to be extra "flamin' hot." Yes, Cheetos is hosting its first-ever runway show.

On Sept. 5 in New York City, Cheetos "House of Flamin' Haute" will present 21 "high-fashion-yet-playful looks" inspired by fans on social media, who over the years have shared their love for the brand through their own interpretations of the orange-dusted snack. (Think Cheetos clothes, hair, makeup nails—all of it.)

Each look will be put together by fashion influencers and stylists Luanna, Hungry Hipsters, Alexa Jade and J. Bolin, and the show will close with a one-of-a-kind piece created by award-winning costume designer Ami Goodheart, who, in the past, has created looks for Lady Gaga, Ciara and countless commercials.

While the runway show will be invite-only, "House of Flamin' Haute" will also host a style bar, open to the public Friday, Sept. 6 and Saturday, Sept. 7. The bar will give fans the opportunity to receive their own Cheetos-inspired beauty looks, from "caught snacking nails" to "cheetah tail braids." (You can check out the looks in the slideshow above!)

Reservations for the style bar can be made online here while they last, which probably won't be long considering how fire the looks are. For those who can't snag a reservation, but really want to, the brand will also give fans a chance to win one by tagging their own original Cheetos look with #CheetosFlaminHaute and #MyCheetosLook on social media.

“We are continually in awe of how Cheetos fans share their love for the brand and express it in their own way, whether that’s creating original recipes with Cheetos or donning Cheetos-inspired hair, nail or makeup looks,” Brandi Ray, senior director of marketing at Frito-Lay North America, said in a press release. “We are so excited to continue to celebrate our fans and their creativity, and in turn, invite them to get the ultimate Cheetos Flamin’ Haute look.”

Fast food and snacks (including Cheetos!) made their runway debut back in 2014 at Moschino's Fall Ready-to-Wear collection designed by Jeremy Scott. Now, more than ever, food and fashion are crossing paths as consumers flock to represent their favorite brands. From Taco Bell sunglasses to pumpkin spice running shoes, if you have a favorite food, there's a way to show it.

In fact, "House of Flamin' Haute" marks Cheetos second foray into the fashion space this year. In June, the brand launched a clothing line with Forever 21, which included men's and women's apparel and accessories like swimsuits, beach towels, hats and t-shirts.

As fashion often conveys to others who we are, so can what we eat. It only seems natural that the two combine.
