Charlynda Scales' grandfather's secret sauce recipe inspired her to create Mutt's Sauce
Air Force Veteran Charlynda Scales inherited her late grandfather’s secret sauce recipe and created Mutt’s Sauce. Scales’ grandfather, nicknamed Mutt, created the recipe in 1956 and brought it to Japan while serving in the Air Force. His sauce brought friends and family together and helped break down any cultural and language barriers. Scales was given the recipe in 2013, years after her grandfather passed away, and she quickly revamped and bottled it.
