CFMT opens registration for 9th annual Big Payback day of charitable giving

The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee is holding its ninth annual Big Payback 24-hour online event.

The online event is a day of giving and coming together to help nonprofits receive donations to continue to do extraordinary work in Middle Tennessee every day.

The event will run 6 p.m. May 4 through 6 p.m. May 5.

For the last eight years, the payback event has taken place in May and the community has raised more than $25 million dollars for various Middle Tennessee nonprofits, schools and faith-based organizations from 180,583 donors nationwide.

"In 2021 The Big Payback raised more than $4.2 million in 32,941 gifts," said a CFMT news release.

Organizations interested in participating can visit TheBigPayback.org. Registration is open until March 31.
