Celtics breeze to an easy 124 – 108 win over T-Wolves down several players
The Boston Celtics might have been down nearly a third of their roster against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday afternoon, but that didn’t seem to slow them down much. Oddly enough, they played better than they have in many a game this season with much healthier players.
The game was close throughout most of the first quarter, but Boston got some separation as the frame wound down, and never trailed again. Breezing to 124 – 108 win over the T-Wolves, the Celtics have guaranteed they will finish .500 or better for the sixth consecutive season. That they did it with mostly bench players is a positive note at the end of a hard season.
It won’t do anything to alter their postseason fate, with the team locked into the play-in tournament from the seven seed.

Boston was led by All-NBA small forward Jayson Tatum with 26 points and 11 rebounds, and veteran wing Evan Fournier added 18 points and 6 assists.
Two-way point guard Tremont Waters led the bench with 14 points and 7 assists in arguably his best game of the season.
The Celtics will turn around quickly to travel to New York City to face the Knicks in their final game of the 2020-21 regular season at 1 p.m. Eastern Time tomorrow, Sunday, May 16.
