CBS' Matt Norlander, Gary Parrish predictions for Tennessee vs. Texas men's basketball

CBS college basketball reporter Matt Norlander and Gary Parrish on Friday talked about the upcoming weekend of games during their podcast "Eye on College Basketball."

One of the games that the pair discussed and made predictions about is the Tennessee Vols at Texas Longhorns men's basketball game on Saturday, Jan. 29. The game is scheduled to start at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT.

Tennessee, ranked No. 20 in the Ferris Mowers Men's Basketball Coaches Poll powered by USA Today Sports, comes into the matchup 14-5 overall. Most recently, Tennessee defeated Florida 78-71 on Wednesday.

No. 25-ranked Texas enters the game 15-5 overall. On Tuesday, the Texas Longhorns beat TCU 73-50.

Matt Norlander picked Tennessee.

Gary Parrish picked Texas.

"This is a tough one, but I'm going to have a little fun here," Norlander said. "Tennessee on the road straight up win, which will make for a little bit of an awkward deal there if (Texas head coach) Chris Beard can't win at home against a former (Texas) coach. ... (Tennessee guard) Kennedy Chandler has a wonderful game. (Tennessee forward John) Fulkerson is the best player on the floor. Vols wins by two."

"Does it concern you at all that Tennessee is 2-3 in road games this year," Parrish said. "Only road wins at Colorado and at Vanderbilt. I can't trust them. ... I got to take Texas at home."

Tennessee won 69-54 at Colorado on Dec. 4, and Tennessee won 68-60 at Vanderbilt on Jan. 18.
