Cavs center/forward Evan Mobley was named to the NBA All-Rookie first team, the league announced Wednesday night.

Mobley became the 12th member of the Cavs selected to the All-Rookie first team and the fourth since 2000, preceded by LeBron James (2003-04), Kyrie Irving (2011-12) and Dion Waiters (2012-13).

Mobley led rookies in rebounds (8.3 per game), blocked shots (1.67), field-goal percentage (.508) and double-doubles (21) and finished fifth in scoring (15.0), seventh in steals (0.81) and eighth in assists (2.5).

He was selected Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month for October/November.

The third overall pick from USC, Mobley finished second to Toronto Raptors guard/forward Scottie Barnes in the closest Rookie of the Year voting in 19 years.

Mobley, Barnes and guard Cade Cunningham of the Detroit Pistons received 200 points in voting by a global panel of 100 sportswriters and broadcasters, with first-team votes worth two points and second-team worth one.

Orlando Magic forward Franz Wagner (183 points, 84 first-team votes) and Houston Rockets guard Jalen Green (158, 58) rounded out the first team.
