Catskills resort made famous by 'The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel' to be sold

A Catskills resort made famous by the hit show “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” is being purchased by a famous Los Angeles defense attorney.

Scott's Family Resort at Oquaga Lake House in Deposit, New York, is being sold for the first time since the resort opened in 1869.

The 1,000-acre property in the Catskills was featured during three episodes of season two of the Amazon Prime hit television show “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel." As reported first by The Hollywood Reporter, it has been sold to Geragos Global, a Los Angeles-based investor in business, real estate and recreation founded by famed criminal defense attorney Mark Geragos.

For “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,” Scott's Family Resort was transformed into the Steiner Mountain Resort, a fictional Jewish enclave that serves as an annual upstate getaway for the series' characters and their social circles.
