Car crash on Highway 42 claims lives of Petal, Richton men
A car accident on Highway 42 in Forrest County claimed two lives Saturday.
A 2009 Chevrolet pickup driven by Steven Weatherford, 67, of Richton was traveling east on Highway 42 when it collided with a 2017 Toyota Highlander heading west about 6:30 p.m., said Chase Elkins, Mississippi Highway Patrol spokesperson.
Weatherford and the driver of the Toyota, 71-year-old Harry Nunnally of Petal, were pronounced dead on the scene.
This crash is under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
