Canyon and Camino football leagues honor their best for 2021 fall season

Wide receiver Cooper Wallace and running back Caleb Alvary of league champion Simi Valley were named the co-Most Valuable Players and two-way star Jake East of Agoura was named the Defensive Player of the Year for the All-Canyon League football team.

Thousand Oaks quarterback Charlie Spencer was named the Offensive Player of the Year and Quincy Holland of Royal was the Offensive Back of the Year. Jackson Volk of Thousand was named the Offensive Lineman of the Year.

Carson Mott of Simi Valley was named the Defensive Lineman of the Year and Andrew McCarthy of Agoura was the Linebacker of the Year.

Named to the first-team offense were George Beattie, Tyler Bangs, Jaelon Barbarin, Travis Throckmorton and Steele Pizzella of Simi Valley; Dumela Knox and Johnny Abarzua of Thousand Oaks; Ethan Mares, Aiden Della Ripa, Jackson Meehan and Ty Dieffenbach of Agoura; Ethan Payte of Royal; and Parsa Dragahi, Aidan Lutz and Rowan Heidt of Oak Park.

Named to the first-team defense were Jimmy Cunningham, Cayden Guffee, Andrew Rezinas, Beau Goslin, Malachi Hannah, Will Bush, Marcus Arthur, Sean Brown, Jaden Dacosta and Diego Caal of Simi Valley; Jadon Mosley, Louis Brown, Landon Holmes and Nick Kokenis of Oak Park; Chase Martin, Mauricio Gomez, Lucas Hadek, Greg Kim, Ben Knox and Jack Harrington of Thousand Oaks; and Nathan Hamburger, Sean Aguilar, Jack Jessing, Cezhon Gayton and Colton Carter of Royal.

Camino League

Lineman Logologo Va'a of league champion Bishop Diego was named the MVP for the All-Camino League football team.

Qu'ran Gossett of Bishop Diego and Travis Endicott of Newbury Park were named co-Offensive Backs of the Year. Jack Maulhardt of Camarillo was named the Receiver of the Year. Jayden Martinez of Bishop Diego was the Offensive Lineman of the Year.

Marcos Jaquez of Camarillo was named the Defensive Lineman of the Year. Hunter Boeddeker of Bishop Diego and Jamie Schatmeier of Camarillo were the Linebackers of the Year. Johnny Alvarado of Bishop Diego was the Defensive Back of the Year and Michael Luckhurst of Bishop Diego was the Special Teams Player of the Year.

Named to the first-team offense were Anthony Mendoza, Jason Widofsky, Brody Meyer, Brandon Contreras and Max Carter of Camarillo; Mason Tucker, Lance Knieriem, Charlie Simmons and Colton Yoos of Newbury Park; Kaden May, Kaiden Chapman and Jake Thrift of Moorpark; and Pasefika Salatielu, Gabe Martinez and Isaac Burquez of Bishop Diego.
