During the warm-weather months, it's hard to beat the ooey, gooey goodness that comes from a fresh batch of s'mores. The combination of marshmallows, graham crackers, and chocolate is *chef's kiss* and somehow tastes even better when enjoyed next to a roaring fire. There's only one problem: the mess. No matter how hard you try and how many napkins you use, s'mores are all but guaranteed to leave fingers sticky and t-shirts stained. Surely there must be a better way!

Well, it turns out that there is. "Campfire cones" are the latest summer dessert trend that's taking the internet by storm, and they solve nearly all the problems posed by classic s'mores. While these tasty treats have been around for a while, they recently started picking up steam again because of—you guessed it!—TikTok.

Christy Denney, otherwise known as The Girl Who Ate Everything, first started making campfire cones last summer.

"If you love camping and you love s’mores, you’ll love this chocolate dessert!" Christy says.

The method is simple: Make your s’mores in a waffle or sugar cone, wrap it in foil, and toss it in the campfire until melted.

No fire? No problem!

"Campfire cones can be wrapped in foil and thrown in the coals of a fire or baked in your oven," Christy explains. "Either way, they’re delicious. You can assemble them ahead of time or have everyone create their own."

As for what to put inside, that's totally up to you. Christy suggests chocolate chips, mini marshmallows, graham cracker pieces, M&Ms, mini peanut butter cups, fruit slices, and more. The flavor options are endless!
