There’s something about Benji Madden.

The Good Charlotte musician, 43, was the one Cameron Diaz fans can thank for getting the “There’s Something About Mary” and “Shrek” star, 49, back on-screen, a family source told People.

Madden “encouraged her to unretire,” the insider said of Diaz’s decision to end her eight-year acting hiatus and reunite with “Annie” co-star Jamie Foxx in Netflix’s forthcoming action-comedy, “Back in Action.”

Madden “is very excited for” Diaz, to whom he’s been married since 2015, according to the source.

Foxx, 54, took to Twitter earlier this week to announce that Diaz, who last appeared in the 2014 “Annie” remake, would be returning to acting.

The Oscar-winning “Ray” star shared a clip of a phone call he had with Diaz in which he got Tom Brady to help coax her out of retirement.

“I’m relatively successful at un-retiring,” said the former Patriots — and current Buccaneers — QB, 44.

In the years since stepping away from Hollywood, Diaz has taken on a new role — as mom to her and Madden’s daughter, 2-year-old Raddix.
