Victim of Camden fatal stabbing was 'in wrong place at wrong time'
Friends of a young man who was knifed to death on a busy high street said he was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
The three friends visited Camden High Street this morning where the victim, in his 20s, was fatally stabbed last night.
The man is the 107th murder victim in London this year and the third in Camden in the last week.
One friend said: “He was a normal guy, he was not involved in gangs or anything like that.
“He was just on the high street. He was in the wrong place at the wrong time.”
Another friend said: “He was just a regular guy.
“He was a kind person and a good friend.”
The friends, who did not want to identify the victim, said he was aged in his early 20s.

Officers were called to Camden High Street just after 11pm on Thursday and found a man in his mid-20s with a stab injury.
He was given first aid but pronounced dead at the scene, Scotland Yard said.
A murder investigation has been launched and the road remains closed to traffic, police said on Friday.
The deah follows separate shooting and stabbing attacks in the borough on Sunday night, in which a man and a woman were killed.
The Metropolitan Police urged people known to the victim who were in the area after the attack to come forward.
Chief Superintendent Raj Kohli said: “I would firstly like to say that our thoughts are with the family, friends and wider community following this fatal attack.
“We are committed to bringing them the justice they deserve.
“I understand that a number of people believed to be known to the victim were present after the attack.
“I would urge them to come forward and speak to investigators as soon as possible with what they know and saw.”
The victim’s next of kin have yet to be informed, the force added.
A second man in his mid-20s was found nearby, also with a stab wound, and was taken to a central London hospital.
Police said he is in a stable condition and that his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
