Callahan's David Price wins world flag football championship with United States
Callahan native David Price helped the United States to a world championship Wednesday, defeating Mexico 44-41 in the men's final at the International Federation of American Football Flag World Championships in Jerusalem.
Quarterback Eric Holliday threw six touchdown passes in the come-from-behind American victory.
The United States trailed 41-30 when Holliday connected on a touchdown pass to Darrell Doucette III to narrow the deficit. After an interception by Frankie Solomon, Holliday passed to Michael Dunn for the game-winner.
Price competed in both baseball and football at West Nassau, lining up at running back for the Warriors in the late 2000s and also earning All-First Coast recognition as an infielder.
