C-M, Baxter girls compete in BGM wrestling tournament

Dec. 6—BROOKLYN — Five Tigerhawks went unbeaten and a pair of Bolts won two matches each during a BGM girls' wrestling tournament on Friday.

Lily Webster, Cadence Linn and Shy Steck all finished 3-0 with three pins and Lily Arndt and Emma Cook both had two wins by fall without a loss.

Two of Steck's pins were in 38 seconds or less. One of her wins came against Baxter's Zoey Gliem. Both of Arndt's wins were by pins that took 46 seconds or less. Cook had a 51-second pin.

The other Tigerhawks competing were Devan Chadwick, Lillie Jones, Lily Brenner, Kaydence Andersen and Joslyn Dawson. Chadwick and Brenner each won a match by fall.

Baxter's day was headlined by Johnelle Gliem and Ahlyvia Epps, who both were 2-1. Epps won twice by fall in less than a minute and her loss came against Webster. Johnelle Gliem had one win by pin and defeated Chadwick 5-2.

Zoey Gliem and Jahlynna Epps-Bedolla also competed for the Bolts but did not win a match.
