The TriCounty Area Chamber of Commerce will host its "Annual Pottstown Progress Luncheon," 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at Soul Joel's at Sunnybrook, 50 Sunnybrook Road, Lower Pottsgrove. Attendees will have time to network and then gain insight into all the ways Pottstown is progressing. The event will include remarks from area elected officials, a video, a look at Pottstown Area Economic Development's annual report and the presentation of the first Connector Award. Berks LaunchBox presents a workshop, "3D Printing for Beginners," from 6 to 8 p.m. by appointment, at Berks LaunchBox, 201 Washington St., Suite 105, Reading. Two additional sessions are scheduled for March 15 and April 19. At this overview of additive manufacturing, attendees will discuss the software and equipment used to 3D print a product. We will go over terms and tips in 3D printing, and detail the steps to design, slice and print. Attendees will create a tool in TinkerCAD, then send it to the printers to create a prototype. The Manufacturers Resource Center will host a series of five, half-day workshops, "Survivors Bootcamp — Leadership Fundamentals," from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., at Brentwood Industries, 625 Brentwood Dr., Reading. The WEDnet eligible workshop will help transform supervisors into leaders through a series of classroom and hands-on modules covering 10 supervisory skills. The development program teaches practical, relevant, and easy-to-apply skills for all levels of supervisors. Subsequent dates are Feb. 24, March 3, 10 and 17. Reading Pride Celebration has officially launched the Berks LGBTQ+ Business Alliance — a program to partner with LGBTQ+ and ally business owners to promote LGBTQ+ entrepreneurship, growth, and success.
