Buffalo Trace flood relief auction includes rare Pappy, Blanton’s, Antique Collection
Buffalo Trace is joining the effort to help Eastern Kentucky recover from unprecedented flooding and bourbon fans might want to take note.
The Frankfort distillery is launching an auction of rare bourbons, including a complete set of Pappy Van Winkle whiskies, a complete set of the much-sought Buffalo Trace’s Antique Collection and rare Blanton’s, Double Eagle Very Rare, Old Charter Oak bourbons.
The online auction fundraiser, through Menish Auctions, begins 9 a.m. Aug. 18 and runs through 7 p.m. Aug. 25. To see the items and to bid, go to proxibid.com/Menish-Productions/Kentucky-Flood-Relief-Benefit-Auction/event-catalog/227310.
All proceeds will go to disaster relief in Eastern Kentucky, according to a news release.
“The loss of lives, housing, infrastructure, and even basic necessities most of us take for granted is devastating,” said Mark Brown, chief executive officer of Buffalo Trace Distillery, in a statement. “We hope our bourbon community, who we know can be very generous, really shows its support and we’re able to raise an unheralded amount of funds for Eastern Kentucky disaster relief.”
