Wednesday's game: Bisons 5, Clippers 4

Recap: Samad Taylor, Gabriel Mareno and Jordan Groshans accounted for nine hits - three apiece - and four runs in a 5-4 victory over Columbus, its fifth loss in seven games. Taylor's two-run triple scored Moreno and Groshans in the fifth inning and Taylor scored on a wild pitch for a 3-0 lead. Groshans then scored on a passed ball and Chavez Young plated Zach Collins on a sacrifice fly in the seventh. Richie Palacios tied the game on a three-run blast in the sixth but reliever Tim Herrin (0-2) took the loss after giving back two runs. Will Benson had an RBI double, but was stranded on second in the bottom of the ninth. Clippers starter Adam Scott allowed three runs on nine hits and two walks through 4 ⅔ innings.

Of note: RHP Ian Gibaut (finger) was activated from the injured list and pitched a scoreless eighth inning.
