Tight end David Njoku is in serious danger of missing the Browns' rematch against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday at FirstEnergy Stadium because he landed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Tuesday.

The Browns announced the move along with the promotion of undrafted rookie tight end Miller Forristall from the active roster to the practice squad and other transactions.

Forristall has never appeared in a regular-season NFL game. He appeared in 54 games with the University of Alabama from 2016-20 and posted 44 catches for 505 yards and five touchdowns.

The Browns also activated long snapper Charley Hughlett from the reserve/COVID-19 list on which he was placed Nov. 29.

Njoku indicated he is asymptomatic in a tweet that reads, "Smh I don't feel a thing."

Later, Njoku added on Twitter, "Thanks for all the well wishes. It’s all LUV & Much appreciated but I really don’t feel a thing lol."

Njoku has 27 catches on 40 targets this season for 407 yards and three touchdowns.

The Browns (6-6) were already thin at tight end because Harrison Bryant suffered a high ankle sprain Nov. 28 in a 16-10 loss to the AFC North-leading Ravens (8-4).

Browns coach Kevin Stefanski loves to use formations featuring three tight ends, but starter Austin Hooper is the only regular contributor at the position who's not dealing with an injury or illness.

The Browns also have fullback Johnny Stanton, who can moonlight as a tight end. On Tuesday, the team restored Stanton from practice squad/COVID-19 list, where he landed on Nov. 29.

The Browns signed tight end Ross Travis to their practice squad Tuesday, so he has a chance to face the Ravens, too.

Travis has appeared in 28 career regular-season NFL games and made seven starts. He has played for the Kansas City Chiefs, Indianapolis Colts, New York Jets and Arizona Cardinals and compiled 14 receptions for 142 yards without a touchdown.

The Browns also cut guard Tristen Hoge from the practice squad.

On Monday, tight end Stephen Carlson landed on the reserve/COVID-19 list. He suffered a season-ending knee injury Aug. 14 in the preseason opener and has been on injured reserve since the summer.
