Browns activate Kareem Hunt, Jack Conklin from injured reserve in time to face Ravens

As expected, the Browns activated star running back Kareem Hunt and All-Pro right tackle Jack Conklin from injured reserve Saturday.

The moves were announced by the team, and they mean Hunt and Conklin are back on the active roster in time to play Sunday night when the Browns (6-5) face the first-place Baltimore Ravens (7-3) in a crucial AFC North showdown at M&T Bank Stadium.

With their activations, Hunt and Conklin were officially added to the injury report and listed as questionable for Sunday night's game, but both of them are expected to play. Hunt and Conklin said in the buildup to the weekend they planned to play in Baltimore, and coach Kevin Stefanski echoed the sentiment Friday.

“Both of those guys look good,” Stefanski said after the final full-scale practice of the week. “Kareem looked like his old self. Jack looked like his old self. Excited to get those guys back out there.”

Hunt missed the past five games with a right calf injury. Conklin missed the past three games with a dislocated left elbow.

The Browns also announced they waived defensive end Joe Jackson and guard Hjalte Froholdt and elevated defensive end Porter Gustin and wide receiver JoJo Natson from the practice squad to the active roster.
