Bring plastic, not paper to Lookouts home games in 2021

Apr. 16—Put away your paper, and take out your plastic.

The Chattanooga Lookouts announced Friday that the 2021 season at AT&T Field will be completely cashless. The Lookouts instead will be accepting credit cards and debit cards at concession stands and inside the team store when they open their 120-game schedule May 4 at home against the Rocket City Trash Pandas.

"Going cashless is going to make for faster, safer and more secure transactions," Lookouts president Rich Mozingo said in a release. "This is about looking after both our fans and our employees. We're going to see quicker lines without the health risks of exchanging cash from hand-to-hand."

Fans who do not have credit cards or debit cards will be able to use cash to purchase Lookouts gift cards that can be used throughout the 6,340-seat facility.

The Lookouts previously announced a new digital ticket initiative starting this season. Single-game tickets for the first 18 home contests are on sale now and can be reserved by calling 423-267-4849.
