Brevard preseason HS football results: Aug. 18-19, 2022
Cocoa and Eau Gallie won their preseason high school football games in a big ways on Friday, each shutting out quality opponents.
Games for Astronaut, Melbourne, Space Coast and Titusville were among those cancelled due to weather.
The Tigers led the battle between last year's Brevard County state finalists, 36-0, when it was ended due to inclement weather. Cocoa was the 2021 Class 4A runner-up, while Merritt Island finished as the 5A runner-up.
Bayside won its game Thursday, traveling to Daytona Beach to defeat Seabreeze.
At Palm Bay, a 60-yard fumble return put the Pirates in control before halftime by two touchdowns. Palm Bay went on to win, 21-7. In the final minutes, Mulberry led Cocoa Beach, 32-6 on the road.
