Breeze Airways adds another nonstop route at Bradley International Airport, brings another back from hiatus

Low-fare carrier Breeze Airways, which has rapidly expanded its service in Connecticut, said Tuesday it will add another nonstop route at Bradley International Airport and resume another that was put on hiatus in July.

Breeze said it will begin offering twice weekly nonstop flights to Raleigh-Durham International Airport, beginning Feb. 16.

In addition, the airline, which launched in 2021, will resume service to Pittsburgh, also on a twice weekly basis., starting Feb. 3.

The airline also said it will offer “one-stop” service to New Orleans four days a week, also beginning Feb. 3.

Breeze said it is launching its service to Raleigh-Durham on Fridays and Mondays from Bradley with one-way promotional fares ranging from $49 to $79, depending on seat choice.

Promotional fares must be booked by Nov. 21 for travel by May 16 and include taxes and government fees. Some restrictions may apply, the airline said.

With the addition of Raleigh-Durham and the reactivation of Pittsburgh, the number of nonstop routes out of Bradley comes to 13.

In a release, Tom Doxey, president of Breeze Airways, said the airlines is continually evaluating airports for nonstop flights where there are underserved routes.

“We welcome Breeze’s addition of new nonstop service to Raleigh-Durham,” said Connecticut Airport Authority Executive Director Kevin A. Dillon. “The new route, along with the return of Pittsburgh service, and the BreezeThru service to New Orleans complement the airline’s growing menu of destinations at Bradley International Airport. We appreciate Breeze’s continued partnership in bringing low-fares and so many convenient travel options to our passengers.”
