Brandon Miller projected to be a lottery pick in 2023 NBA draft

Brandon Miller projected to be a lottery pick in 2023 NBA draft

With wins over teams like Houston, North Carolina and Michigan State the Alabama Crimson Tide has frequently looked like the best team in college basketball. The Tide are currently ranked No. 2 in the country and have been fueled by the freshman phenom Brandon Miller.

Since the first game, Miller has flashed moments of brilliance and shown why he will eventually be an NBA lottery pick. Miller was the No. 14 overall recruit in the country in 2022 out of Antioch, TN, and has often received player comparisons to Kevin Durant for his lengthy frame and his long-range shooting ability.

In what will certainly be his only year in Tuscaloosa, Miller is averaging 19.5 points, 8.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game. He’s also shooting a remarkable 45.1% from three, which NBA scouts will love.

In Bleacher Report’s updated 2023 NBA mock draft, they predict that Miller will land with the Oklahoma City Thunder via the No. 8 selection in the draft. Oklahoma City has a very young roster and Miller will be given the time to grow into a star so I think this would be an outstanding landing spot for him.

Regardless of where he goes, Miller is almost certainly guaranteed to be a lottery pick. As the season goes on, Miller is only going to be more likely to climb up draft boards.
