Boys are overcome with brotherly love when they met their baby brother for the first time

Every parent wonders what the moment will be like. Introducing an older sibling, or siblings, to their new brother or sister is an event filled with anticipation. You hope excitement and love will rule the day. But there’s always that nagging fear that a bit of jealousy might creep in. Emotions can be unpredictable, especially when it comes to little humans.

Like most parents, Kyle and Shelby Bosworth couldn’t wait to introduce their newborn to his big brothers after welcoming their third son, KJ, into the world at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama.

And when dad Kyle opened the hospital room door for the older boys, their reaction was all a parent would want it to be. Brayden, the eldest, was left open-mouthed and speechless as he walked toward his new baby brother.

But it was the reaction of his younger brother, Braxton, that truly summed up brotherly love. Overcome with joy, Braxton choked up and began to cry. Instinctively, his dad Ryan hugged him and encouraged him to move closer.

Eventually, both the boys regained their composure and got in some practice holding baby KJ.

Now home, Shelby says the boys are loving life with a baby. “They are always trying to help in any way they can. They still won’t help clean a dirty diaper though!”

Brayden enjoys helping to feed baby KJ, while Braxton loves to give him kisses and talk to him.
