Boys Basketball: Clinton, Tecumseh, Onsted add to win totals

Clinton, Tecumseh and Onsted picked up wins Thursday in boys basketball action. Here’s a look:

Clinton 49, Hudson 48

Grant Stockford hit the go-ahead free throw with four seconds left, giving Clinton the one-point victory in LCAA action Thursday.

A potential game-winner missed the mark for Hudson.

Jalon Stelzer scored 17 of his 21 points in the second half, including three triples in the final 16 minutes.

Hudson’s Ambrose Horwath passed Chuck Redding to become Hudson’s all-time scoring leader. At the next stop in action, Horwath was honored for passing Redding, who scored 1,218 career points. Horwath came into the game needed two to tie Redding.

Tecumseh played lock-down defense against Jackson, holding the Vikings to just three points in the first quarter and 13 points in the first half.

Tecumseh outrebounded Jackson 43-24 and went to the free throw line 39 times.

Onsted 77, Hillsdale

Ayden Davis had another big game and Onsted got a career-high scoring effort from JT Hill.
