Boulder County Coroner identifies woman who died in Thursday crash in Longmont

Apr. 11—The Boulder County Coroner's Office on Saturday identified the woman who died Thursday in a two-car crash at 17th Avenue and Alpine Street in Longmont.

The coroner is investigating the death of 28-year-old Natalie Sexton, of Longmont.

Longmont police on Friday said preliminary reports indicate that a Ford Explorer was traveling east on East 17th Avenue at Alpine Street. Police said the Ford struck a Subaru Forester that was traveling north through the intersection.

Sexton and a 3-year-old boy were ejected from the Ford when it rolled after the collision, according to police. Neither was believed to have been wearing a seat belt. The child was taken to a Denver-area hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries. Sexton sustained on-scene fatal injuries.

Robin Ericson, Longmont police spokesperson, said she didn't have further updates on the condition of the child as of Saturday. She said no new updates on the investigation were expected to be released for at least three weeks.

Police said the driver of the Subaru, a 19-year-old Longmont woman, suffered minor injuries and was released at the scene.

The Boulder County Coroner has completed an autopsy. Sexton's cause and manner of death are pending further investigation.

A GoFundMe online donation page was started to cover the cost of Sexton's funeral.
