Boulder County cone zones: Week of Feb. 28-March 6, 2021

Feb. 27—Longmont

County Line Road: The widening and installation of left-turn lanes and intersection improvements and other work on County Line Road between Ninth and 17th avenues is underway and scheduled to be completed in April.

Main Street (U.S. 287): The Colorado Department of Transportation is working on adding a northbound U.S. 287 lane between Pike Road and a point about 1,000 feet south of Pike Road and Main Street.

Boulder

30th Street: The right lane of 30th Street heading northbound will have intermittent lane closures between Walnut and Mapleton streets through July 2022 during construction of the Pollard Jeep site development. Arrow boards and signage will be used to direct traffic.

North Broadway: North Broadway will continue to accommodate two-way traffic between Violet Avenue and U.S. 36 during a potholing, boring and utility relocation project, but parking restrictions will be in place, and cyclists will have to merge with traffic through the construction area.

29th Street: 29th Street is to be closed at its intersection with Baseline through Feb. 28 for an intersection safety project.

71st Street: Closed between Glacier View and Winchester through Feb. 8, for the first phase of a 71st Street reconstruction project between Lookout Road and Colo. 52.

Arapahoe Avenue: The southern-most eastbound lane will be closed from Folsom Street to 28th Street, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Feb. 28, for directional drilling for fiber conduit.

Columbine Avenue: Drivers can expect lane shifts between 14th Street and Broadway on Columbine Avenue during a pavement management program that's expected to conclude on March 15.

Boulder County

71st Street: 71st is to be closed through Feb. 9 for the first phase of a two-phase reconstruction project of 71st Street between Lookout Road and Colo. 52. In order to safely replace the Boulder and Whiterock Ditch culvert, 71st Street will need to be closed in both directions between Glacier View Road and Winchester Circle. Access to businesses in the Gunbarrel Tech Center off Winchester Circle will be maintained from 71st Street via Colo. 52 on the north.

U.S. 287 and Isabelle Road: Travelers on both U.S. 287 and Isabelle Road can expect lane closures and traffic shifts through the end of May as part of an ongoing intersection improvement project. Work will be from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. Weekend work may be necessary over the course of the project.

Erie

Arapahoe Road: Contractors are to start installing a utility crossing on Arapahoe Road between Beasley Drive and 111th Street for the Nine Mile development. Motorists can expect significant delays throughout the morning and afternoon and are urged to pay close attention to the lanes shifting in both directions.
