The Boston Celtics’ 2022-23 season schedule will be released on Aug. 17 as part of the full league schedule’s release. In the meantime, additional details about the season are percolating throughout the media.

Per The Athletic’s Shams Charania, the Celtics will get their first Eastern Conference finals rematch with the Miami Heat on Oct. 21. The Heat-Celtics game is part of a challenging week for Boston. The team is scheduled to open the season three days earlier (Oct. 18) against a much-improved Philadelphia 76ers squad.

We also know the Celtics will face the Golden State Warriors, their 2022 NBA Finals opponent, for grudge matches in San Francisco on Dec. 10 and in Boston on Jan. 19. Boston is also scheduled to host the Milwaukee Bucks on Christmas Day.
